After several years of careful planning and fundraising, construction is about to start on a new Community Centre Building . A donation of £1,000 towards this project was made by the Winscombe and District Horticultural Society. 

Their secretary explained that the Society had a surplus of funds, and the membership had agreed that this donation would be appropriate, as it marks over 40 years of close association with the Centre through meetings, plant sales and flower shows, and, formerly a gardening shop
